Cycling Australia - discovertasmania.com
The Cycling Australia discovertasmania.com cross country mountain bike team is an elite development program which provides athletes with intensive training and competition opportunities. The program aims to graduate athletes into professional careers on UCI trade teams competing at World Cups and to improve the Australian team's performances internationally.
The team is sponsored by the Tasmanian Government and while in Australia is based at the Tasmanian Institute of Sport.
2009 is the first year Australia's elite development team has been registered as a UCI MTB team - this will ensure that riders will gain valuable exposure in international events.

- Lachlan Norris (VIC) - 2009 U23 Australian XC Champion
- Paul van der Ploeg (VIC) - 2008 U23 Australian XC Champion
The team has now travelled to Europe and will compete on the UCI MTB World Cup circuit between April- September.
