'Cyclones' for road World Championships

Cycling Australia is pleased to announce the 'Cyclones' team for the upcoming UCI Road World Championships being staged in Varese, Italy from September 23 to 28.

Elite Mens Long Team

Pursuant to the selection policy a final starting team for the elite men's events of up to nine starters for the road race and two for the time trial will be selected from the 'long team' after 14 September.

U23 Mens Team

Australia can start two riders in the time trial and five in the road race.

Elite Women's Team

O'Donnell (TT) and Gilmore (RR) are the reigning Oceania Continental Champions which means Australia can start three riders in the time trial and seven in the road race.

The closing date for appeals against non-selection is 5pm Sydney time Monday 8 September.
