Age Categories

Even though the titles are being conducted in 2008, they are the 2009 Championships and therefore the under 19 category is open to cyclists who turn 17 or 18 years age in 2009 (ie cyclists born in 1991 and 1992)

For those cyclists who currently hold an U17 licence but are eligible to compete in the U19 category at these Championships you will need to take out a 2009 licence before the event with your U19 category on the licence.

International competitors will be required to hold a 2008 UCI International Licence.

Australian Team

Unlike previous years, an Australian team will not be selected to compete in these Championships. The Championships will be open to CA licence holders.

State and Institute teams are encouraged to compete. For those sending teams to the Championships please complete the attached form to assist with the management of the event.

Team Pursuit & Team Sprint

From entries received the Australian selectors will select riders for Australian teams to compete in the Team Pursuits and Team Sprints events. Riders who nominate for these events will be subject to selection to an Australian team. National Selectors will advise riders of their selection shortly after the closing date.

If you wish to enter a Team Pursuit or Team Sprint please [click here] to complete a registration form. However the riders will still be required to enter and pay for the event on their entry form.
