Team managers and cyclists are reminded to have the following with them when registering:

  • A current CA license, signed by the holder
  • A sample of the competition clothing (State Managers and individual/club entrants)
  • A birth certificate – see note below

Failure to provide the above will result in the non registration of the competitor and non issue of race number.

All riders should register for the Championships on Thursday – however should a rider be unable to attend, registration will be conducted daily at Stromlo Forest Park race headquarters, commencing 1½ hours before the start of the day's competition and will conclude 30 minutes before the start of the first event of the day.  Cyclists who do not respect this cut off time may be refused a start in the event.

Birth Certificates

Competitors who have not competed previously in an Australian cycling championship must produce their birth certificate at registration in compliance with the CA Tech Regs.  Alternatively competitors can provide proof of age certification to their state office, which shall provide a report to the CA office before the commencement of the Championships.

Electronic timing will be used for all events at the Championships.  Therefore, you will be required to fit a small transponder to the front forks of your bicycle.

The transponders will be issued with your race number at registration.  DO NOT exchange your transponder with any other competitor as the transponder is coded to your race number.

The transponders are to be returned at the conclusion of the event, if not you will be charged $30 for the replacement.

Getting to Canberra

AIR – Canberra Airport is serviced by connections from most capital cities. Note that some aircraft servicing Canberra may have limited freight capacity which can be of concern where large numbers of bikes are to be transported.  Alternately, Canberra is 2½ - 3 hours drive from Sydney Airport.

ROAD – Canberra is accessed from the Hume Highway – turn off at Yass approaching from south or west and at Goulburn approaching from the north.

How do I get to Canberra Stadium Eastern Stand for the meetings?
