Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra, ACT The Masters Championships are being promoted by Cycling Australia (CA) in partnership with the Vikings Cycling Club Time Trial Results - Now Available Road Race Results - Now Available Criterium Results - Now Available Dates The 2009 Australian Masters Road Championships are as follows: Wednesday 30 September - Registration, Technical & Rider/Support staff meetings. Stromlo Forest Park 4:00 - 6:00pm Thursday 1st October – Individual Time Trials Friday 2nd October – Road Races Saturday 3rd October – Road Races Sunday 4th October – Criteriums Monday 5th October - Criteriums For more information on the scheduling of these events click here TECHNICAL REGULATIONS - UCI have provided the following document "Technical Regulations for Bicycles - A practical Guide to Implementation". Championship Meetings & Briefings - Stromlo Forest Park - Time TBC Presentations Presentations will be conducted each day at Stromlo Forest Park. Transport AIR – Canberra Airport is serviced by connections from most capital cities. We note that some aircraft servicing Canberra may have limited freight capacity which can be of concern where large numbers of bikes are to be transported. Alternately, Canberra is 2½ - 3 hours drive from Sydney Airport. ROAD – Canberra is accessed from the Hume Highway – turn off at Yass approaching from south or west and at Goulburn approaching from the north. Licence Requirements It is the responsibility of the entrant to have the correct licence to race a Championship (open) event in Australia. Entry will be refused if an entrant cannot produce their racing licence or their licence category and/or UCI code is insufficient. Refunds for events will not be given in the event of a competitor not having a sufficient racing licence. Examples of a sufficient licence include: an ICU Cycling Australia Master Category or Elite category with a UCI code of Domestic or International valid until 31st December 2009; Any overseas licence issued by UCI/ICU with a UCI code of International valid until 31st December 2009 with rider photograph. Examples of INVALID LICENCES include licences issued by the AVCC or other non-CA or non-UCI bodies; licences issued by a non-Australian ICU/UCI body with a UCI code of Domestic (such a licence only covers racing in the country of issue). The Championships will be conducted under CA Technical Regulations governing Masters road events.
