Paralympic Team Welcome Home

Monday, 5 November 2012

Come to our party, Sydney! We want to say thank you.

The Australian Paralympic Team will officially be welcomed home at a celebration this Friday, and Sydney-siders are being invited to join the festivities. Entry is free.

More than 200 Team members will be there to soak up the atmosphere at the Sydney Opera House from 11am to 1pm.

It’s the last chance for our Paralympians to say thank you to the Australian public for their amazing support of the 2012 team which won 85 medals at the London Paralympic Games.

With the Aussie dance group, the POTBELLEEZ, and Brazilian dancers among the entertainers ready to thrill the crowd, the stage is set for a memorable day.

The event is hosted by the NSW Government and City of Sydney in conjunction with the Australian Paralympic Committee.
